Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. The Lord is my pilot, I shall not drift He guides me across the dark waters. He steers me through deep channels. He keeps my log. He prepares a quiet harbour before me. He anoints the wave with oil, My ship rides calmly. Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North, The birthpace of valour, the country of worth Wherever I wander, wherever I rove, The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.

Life holds so many facets, This earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing That we could know today, How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched, For nothing loved is ever lost And she was loved so much. Is he playing on the clouds with angels? Is he laughing and happy today?

Does he miss me? I guess only he knows.
